Edge Grand Central, Germany

The high-tech building is being erected right next to Berlin Central Station. It minimises its own energy consumption and thus its own operating costs and carbon footprint. This solid building, a post-and-beam construction, is sealed using SIGA’s Fentrim products. The airtight building envelope is achieved using Fentrim and Majvest 700 SOB, a black acrylate-coated facade membrane.

Efficient handling thanks to specially produced Fentrim adhesive tapes

Owing to the enormous dimensions of the windows and the facade elements, various customer-specific productions were used here instead of the standard Fentrim products. This allowed the installers on site to work cleanly and efficiently. Thanks to full-surface bonding, they were able to progress safely and quickly even at low temperatures.

SIGA Technical Sales and SIGA Application Engineering were regularly on site throughout the construction project. The teams supported the project managers and installers with concrete tips, training and assessments.
